if you go to www.ssa.gov you can apply for SSI on line and you can read about what the requirements are.
I was just approved for SSDI last Monday. It took me 28 months and two rejections. Unless you have decompensating liver disease it is unlikely that you will get approved on Hep C alone. I'm sure the only reason why I got approved was because I also have rheumatoid arthritis. I have stage 4, compensated liver disease.
