Scuba: Procrit Patient Assistance Program

by NYgirl, Jan 05, 2007 12:00AM
The Epo might cost $90,000 for ME but for a general person once a week it costs about $40,000 ..... I had to take it twice a week and cannot get off of it until tx is over because I'm only at 10.5 even WITH once a week.

Hey...on tv here in the states they have commercials on all of the time for Procrit (same stuff as Epo) and they say very very clearly "if you can't afford to get Procrit go to our website and we will try to get it for you".

They have a program like Commitment to Care for the Interferon.  A patient assitance program!

You probably won't have to do very much at all (didn't for C2C just told them what I made and stuff like that and it was approved) and you can have the med sent to your house as long as the doctor writes the prescription.

DEFINITELY worth checking out!

I'm going to repost again above into a new thread so you see this because it is CRUCIAL that you do.

Dont worry - you aren't FUBAR YET! ;)

Schba is in Spain, I don't think he can access patient support for Procrit from another country.

It may be that they can refer him to a European program. Procrit by any other name still smells like Epo. ;>)

THANK YOU thank you thank you..... I really do love you gals
I already printed this post and I'm definitely gonna call.
Is always good to know if they have a similar program in Europe
I just got the results of my CBC and the doc won't do anything as yet cause I'm
TSH 2.54
T4  2.09
T3  143.00
AST 34
ALT 49
Hgb 12,2
platelets low 137 X1000/ul
Vl <0.01 UND  10^3 I/ml  the sensibility is 15 UI/ml
and a lot of the WBC is messed up but she said is normal and expected.

If I do need EPO she will get it for me (but she implied I had to tough it out a bit)...I gotta go next month again.
I do feel better now though

by scubadiver30, Jan 05, 2007 12:00AM
the doc said that maybe I'm catchin the flu and that's why I feel so shitty. Said that I shouldn't stop doing what I'm doing and to take it easy.. The usual take 2 of these and call me in the mornin... I won't complain though..Today is a holiday here and she did the CBC in one hour

well saludos a todos mis amigos/as

With all those bicycle racing teams in Europe I'm sure EPO is readily available there.

Yes.. EPO is the drug of choice for all the cyclist that wanted to beat Lance Amstrong ;-)...That's why maybe they don't promote it as much..everyone would be doing it for no reason ;)

The people here are the best. I love them all.. I already asked the company but they haven't answered yet. I don't think this plan applies outside the continental US though :-(

I could share mine! Really! If we can figure out a way to package and ship it. I think it has to be refrigerated, but I'm sure there's a way. I'll keep you posted.

You're so nice, but if it needs to be refrigerated the cost to ship over here is gonna make it expensive (and we risk that it could go bad).
I'm still close to 12 so if it gets real hard i'm gonna have to purchase EPO out of my savings, :-( but I have to continue with TX. Is eihter the money or life
Once you get into IFN school is difficult to drop out ;-)

Gracias, for being so kind
