Seeking blood cell info

by newb, Feb 02, 2003 12:00AM
Hello, I'm looking for information about Pegasys treatment, and this looks like the best place. Does anyone know how many people, percentage-wise, get severely lowered red or white blood cells during treatment, and if there's any connection between any particular factors, like enzyeme levels, viral count, or liver damage? Also, am wondering if once you get low blood cells, do they ever improve without medication?

Am doing this without insurance and trying to figure out if I'll be able to afford Neupogen or Procrit. Any information about your experiences, or diet/nutritional recommendations about preventing whacked out blood cells during treatment would be greatly appreciated.
