Severe Itching

My doctor prescribed me Gabapentin, used to control nerve pain or shingles. All my liver funtions are way out of wack, I feel like I am plugged in to a electrical outlet, sort of tingling itching sensation anyone try this.

First night I have slept in a lomg time and the itching has subcided, I think my hi viral load has a lot to do with this.

I'm on Gabapentin also (for depression... Gab's a generic Neurontin) in combo with Paxil.  I never noticed itching increase when she added Gab, but was kind of 'out of it' and bipolar like at the time.  I asked about the itching and the doc said it was from the treatment (Pegasys/Ribavirin) drying out my skin so much.  Got some relief by using lotion (Aveno baby - no added colors or perfumes).  I had the itching (especially crotch area) all through treatment, regardless of viral load... Hope this helps...

The itching is always worse where your clothes rub It drove me crazy - I used Gold Bond Triple Threat it helped me greatly...just take it from me don't stop using it or the rash will come back (I made that mistake myself!).
