She Lives!!!

She Lives!!!

Just woke up and I feel ok. Just happy to not have that killer headache. I feel like I did a couple of rounds with Mike Tyson.

I think the worst part for me was the muscle aches. Wow! all down the legs, the back, ribs...even hands and feet. And the headache that went down my neck made me whimper in pain. Oy!

I have new found respect for all of you on tx. Deep Bow.

Gonna take it easy today. Thanks for all the support.

So glad to hear from you this morning :)  Continue to take Tylenol or something like that for the muscle aches, you don't need to suffer through it.  Keep us posted, but hopefully the worst is over.  :) Congrats!

I took the tylenol for at least the next day after the shot.  It really does take the edge off the muscle aches and pains.  Hope it helps you too!

I am glad your headache is gone. They are awful. The muscle aches down legs, back etc. lasted a little while when I first started tx. It seemed I had them for weeks. Now I don't too much 20/48. Hopefully things will get better. Yes, you can take up to 2000 mg of tylenol, I believe, a day. More than that can be bad for the liver. If they help the muscle pain, use them. There is too much suffering during tx to put up with some of these sx, if you can do something to help.

I told my doc I needed a full body heating pad! He seemed to nod, but said nothing. I was serious!

you laughed too soon.  my ears drive me crazy.  I carry "badger butter" for dry feet, and lube my ears up at least 4 times a day.....right at the top and front where they come out of your head is a patch of skin so dry it itches constantly and builds up layers of dry skin.... lizard skin..I keep wondering..is there a gland there?  what the heck is up with my ears.....  badger butter works great...but still 4 times a day??

Hey thanks. Congrats to you on being half way there.

Fishdoc, there are plenty of glands (lymph nodes) around the ears. Mine are swolled just below the ears and along the jaw. Sometimes I have small ruptures, so maybe it similar. Although I just started on the Riba, so I still fun surprises awaiting me.

:)

Thanks for all the suggestions. I get my turn soon. Hope things get better for you real soon. Where do I get badger butter? I never heard of it.

Avatar_f_tn
Fishdoc I thought that had to do with me wearing glasses, but it drives me crazy and it didnt start doing that until tx, you are so right about the snake skin peel. ive peeled off alot of layers and i keep telling myself to leave it alone ,but the itch starts coming on and there goes another layer.....

Hi Julia,
Welcome! you are now in the game and after going toe to toe with pit bull Mike Tyson you are here to tell about it. Good Luck with your sx . I know for me reading the threads and posts here on the forum as helped me to ease the sx. as much as possible and I am still working at trying to do things in my life that will even help more. Some of the aids I am using are.

motrin for muscle aches  one to two doses per week.

tylenol for daytime discomfort of flu like symptoms one to two doses per week.

ambien or tylenolpm for nightime discomfort and insommnia, don,t know where this dosing is going I have had the ambien for three nights and I must say I believe I am falling a sleep faster and sleeping longer. Still not the sleeping habits I had before tx. but much better than without the ambien.

Taking steps to grow furthur spiritaully. I go to a spiritual healing on sundays and just went to a centering prayer group today which I plan to go back agian and also begin to  work on a meditation practice daily to help with all the extra thought activity that has come up as a result of tx.

And of course lots of water and lots of good advice from the forum.

  Best wishes to all!!!

Aw hell. Tighness is overrated anyway.

Hello!! Helloww...heloo.oo.ooowww....

Anybody in there?? In..there...in there..there..ere..er..er??

Hey Fish, you was asking about relapsers retreating right away vs. waiting a while. I haven't read anything.... not much out there on treating relapses. My guess is that unless you catch it right away, any possible benefit of rushing into re-tx would probably be offset by starting frsh with a recharged battery, a la FLguy. But if you did catch it right at the cusp of remergence and detectability (can't bother to check spelling) I think you'd be wise to bang away, a la Kalio.

I also speculate that even if you wait, the second treatment benefits from the first. If you accept, as I do, that tx trains our immune systems, it makes sense that additional txes for relapsers are like advanced degrees. Non responders I think would be a different discussion. All pure speculation, of course.

Well come to sx with tx.  Sorry you are feeling like you do.  My first 2 shots just about killed me. LOL  I can totally relate.  My hep doc told me I could take 500mg of Tylenol at a time, however don't exceed the limit of instructions.  It worked for me.

I didn't think things would ever lighten up, where I would feel somewhat normal.  But, it did and then you know this is doable.  Good Luck, you will be fine.  Just know it is the medications your body has to adapt to.  There is sunshine and it does peer through just when you think you can't go anymore.  So keep going; you are killer the virus.

Lot of Luck
