look at some old posts here from a doctor that used the name hepatitisresearcher he listed some supplements that he claimed he would give his child if they had cirrhosis. It may not cure the cirrhosis but may halt the progress.
He has Hep B so Vertex not relevant
Silly marin cannot reverse Cirrhosis, but silly doctors with the proper care and drugs can help you. Look into the Vertex trials and ask your doctor if this can be a venue to lead to the reversal of Cirrhosis... Good luck...

Would love to help you but I personally don't know of any. Also you have Hep B which is not our specialist subject.
Here is a lead for you on a drug which is already approved for HIV and shows promise for Hep B cirrhotics. You may wish to ask your doctor about it.

other than the FDA approved antivirals, are there any effective alternative treatment out there in market which can help my liver .
Im new to this bcoz ive been diagnosed wit hepb and cirrhosis only 5mnths back.Since there r many experienced members here ,i would b very grateful if u could help me.
If they are supplements they are not medically proven. It is a contradiction in terms.
Only medication approved by the FDA has passed the necessary standards of proof.
I have cirrhosis and I would not take a thing without asking my dr. If I think I need a tylenol I have to discuss it with him. When he laid out a schedule for me to take a tylenol...I thought this is crazy! But it is serious. JMHO
Good Luck to you!
Then what are medically proved supplements for cirrhosis .Im havin entecavir for my hepb .
Here is a quote for you
'Reviews of the literature covering clinical studies of silymarin vary in their conclusions. A review using only studies with both double-blind and placebo protocols concluded that milk thistle and its derivatives "does not seem to significantly influence the course of patients with alcoholic and/or hepatitis B or C liver diseases'
Taking it probably won't do harm but it's no answer to your clinical condition.
You should use your doctor and medical science.
I am not well versed in Hep B-perhaps others are.
i didnt find any cirrhotic in hepB forum.
actually im hep B and cirrhotic . diagnosed only 5 mnths back.
