Sore throat

Is anyone else experiencing a sore throat while on treatment? I finished the incevik 4 weeks ago and thought it would end then, but still have it today. I went on a week of antibiotics and still there. Any ideas. Thanks. Joe

On week 10 with INC and tonight I felt like I had something stuck in my throat to the point of gagging.    Ended up loosing my supper and some meds, and then rinsed with biotene which helped a little.   Fixed some Candy Cane sugar free, caffiene free green tea and drank it warm which seem to sooth it alot to the point where I stopped coughing.   Throat is still sore, but feel better.   Almost sure its just a sx.

I just did shot nine, doing triple with Vic and have had a sore throat since day one and figure it comes with the territory. Comes and goes but mostly there.

I think it is from the ribavirin so I doubt that antibiotics are going to help.  I seems to be clearing my throat for hours each morning.  Sometimes it gets pretty sore from that.  I suck a lot of tictacs too

im on week 20 and i still have it ..it comes and goes... but i take advil if it get s really bad and that helps.. i think it happens frequently as a side effect ...dry eyes mouth and throat...i cough alot but the dr said its from ribaviron... i think water and hot tea help too .. i like green tea ..it seems to help the mouth sores too..

i just started getting mouth sores ..now thats a fun one ... not good if you plan on eating...

I have had this as well and was told by my doctor this is normal.  Suggestion was to increase water intake (or at least frequency) and to use sugar-free lozenges.

I have had a sore throat on and off during treatment but only lasts a couple of days, goes away and back again couple weeks later.  Probably the interferon I think.  What is your white blood count?  might want to find out and check with doctor.
