Congratulations on finishing treatment!!

You might want to post this at the top by selecting the green 'Aks a Question' button so that others can see easily , and respond.

You posted on a thread that is over a year old.

having said that, I, too, took Sol/RIBA - 24 weeks and reached SVR.  the tiredness is a result of the RIBA, as it causes somes people to have anemia and others to just have a reduction in HMG while on the med.  Within three weeks or so, after tx (treatment) is complete, that should start getting better.  Also, specific to your situation, you have completed tx and had the 'high' that comes from that then, you go back to feeling 'normal' from tx.  It will take several months for the meds to get completely out of your system.  cut yourself some slack.  Rest.  Plan something to pamper yourself, which doesn't take a lot of energy, and continue with the liver healthy eating, drinking lots of water, and moderately exercising - a walk around the block.  A swim in the morning or evening, etc.  but do not overdo.  If you get too tired, it will take longer to get back to where you were.

Good luck, and on to SVR

Blessings,

Pat

I have finished Sovaldi/Riba Aug 19.  I came through with some problems but all and all pretty good.  After 28 days I did not have the virus anymore.  I do have a problem with my Red Blood Cell Count it was 3.08 now it is 3.18.  I get tired really easy exhausted to be exact.  I am hoping this will pass.  I can not do much of anything without getting tired.  Some days are better than others.  Thought I was doing better now I am back to being tired.  Short of breath I do not have problems sleeping,  Has anyone felt the same way and how long.  I have my next apt in Dec and then they will cut me loose if all comes up well and it should.  I was just wondering and would like some input
Thanks
susan

Sandi I read in an earlier post you were UND at 33 days :) :) :)  There are brighter days ahead.  Congrats, the 7 weeks will go by quickly.

Yesterday is history. Tomorrow a mystery. Today is a gift, that's why they call it the present.  Hoping each new day is your present. Looks like you've knocked the dragon to it's knees............ the final blow is coming.  Stay strong.

I am week 5 right now, on triple tx, sovaldi, pegasus, ribavirin. Also am undetectable. Will be done end of April also. Am anxious to slay this dragon, and hope it is early enough, and I have enough brocolli banked, that I won't get cancer. Thanking my lucky stars I have led a healthy lifestyle since screwing up in the 70's.

Fantastic Jimmy, I'm a relative newcomer here and I've really appreciated the information and knowledge you've shared.  Somehow I thought you were on treatment, or had already reached SVR.  Hope and pray by the middle of May you are UND.  From reading your posts, there's not much in the way of HCV treatment or knowledge I could give you.  I just hope the dragon turns to dust.   Looking forward to reading your positive blood work #'s.

That is awesome Jimmy!!!! Good luck going forward and God speed my friend! My side effects were not too bad. A headache here and there and very low energy with a little fatigue but all in all bearable.
Stay in touch and I will do the same bro.

Great news!!!

I have my appointment April 2 at the VA and hope to get the official news that I can start the same treatment for geno 2. When I went to my Hep tx meeting march 5.  I got the general discussion about treatment and the Sovaldi info packet.  They told me that SVR was official 12 weeks after treatment and not 24 weeks ???

They were also impressed with my knowledge about hep C & tx.  I mentioned a large portion of that is due to my MedHelp participation and research reading . After my telephone screening with a VA social worker for any mental conditions that would effect or contraindicated tx. I was given the "green light"
