Im stage 2 had it for 20+ years. My hepatologist advised me I have mild scarring to my liver-mild peri-portal fibrosis- Iook at it this way- I will be treating soon and if Im lucky I will get rid of it.

If Im not lucky right now I will try another approach and hope I have another 20 years...being it took me 20 years to get to this point int the first place. Maybe Im wrong but someone will ring in here and let me know if my approach and thinking is incorrect.

Gauf is 100% correct----you need to know the answers to what he asked to determine where you stand.

And thank god in a way none of us know when our time is up-I think life at that point would be a bummer! We all must LIVE until we die. I mean that in a good way!

No one can answer that. Everyone is different. Stage 2 is not super bad, but why can't you take the meds Rich? Also, do you have hep C?, what grade?, how long?, what is your viral load?  What does your blood tests say? You gotta work with us here bud.
