I am a newbie here and I am looking for clinical trial information for South Texas, how can I become part of a trial.
Thanks!
Bill
I have migrated over to your new thread. Thanks the continuity!
Hello all:
I have been following this thread for several months now. A lot of posts with a lot of interesting information covering numerous related topics of discussion here. However, I thought it might be worthwhile to start a new thread trying to focus more specifically on us ION-2 people's treatment chronologies, if anyone is interested in contributing info to that thread, so that we all, as a group, can gauge our own personal progresses as we traverse the ION-2 path. For me, this thread was starting to become a little too unwieldy to try to follow how other ION-2 participants were coming along, so a new thread, titled "ION-2 treatment status" and as of this writing has all of one post in it (mine), was born.
If you have cirrhosis , you should be at a transplant hosiptal with the required Doctors and treatment. With the aviability
of liver transplants, the changes of dying from cirrorhis go way down. I am currently in a Gilead trial for liver cirrortics post tranx. . I had a liver transplant after cirrorhis put me into end stage liver disease. Is your liver decompensated? If so there is no treatment that will help you. Your only option to stay alive ( if you are decompensated) is get a liver transplant. You will have to get listed for a liver, and many other things before you are able for a transplant. If your liver is still working and is cirrortic, but compensated, then treatment is still a option. Hopefully your Doctor has discussed this with you. Good luck !!!
Hi Cassie, so happy you found this thread, I hope it helps you
Hi I have cirrhosis, treated twice, was very lucky the second time to get to UND, then 6 months later SVR. The first time I treated, for 48 weeks and relapsed 6 weeks after finishing tx, I was UND from week 7 on, I just knew I was going to make it to SVR.
Hector and Halfwatt are in for the fight of their life right now as they both have cancer of the liver.
If you need information, you can click on the magnifying glass at the top of the page and can search.
Many of us have cirrhosis and have treated more than once with Inf to get to UND, then six months later SVR.
As I was told years ago by NYGirl UND is not SVR.
Thanks Can-do
Best wishes to all
