Sucessful Pregnancy after Tx?

cao
Hi everyone -- I successfully completed treatment in January of '05 and we're now trying actively to conceive a child.  I've noticed that post-tx my cycles are a little funky.  They shortened a little bit (from 35 to 30 days) and this intially didn't concern me.  However, it's now seeming like it's just the second half of my cycle which has changed, leaving little time for implantation.

Is there anyone out there that has tried to conceive post treatment?  I'd love to hear about your experience..I'm starting to get anxious that perhaps the very thing I did so as to be able to have future kids without anxiety has impaired my ability to have them in the first place...

Thanks:)

I'm going through the same situation. It's been two years since I completed my treatment with ribavirin and am trying to get pregnant. I recently had a miscarriage at 6 weeks, and began to wonder if the treatment may not have caused any damage to my eggs. Could you get pregnant without any problems? Please tell me how was the end of his story, and if you hear of other cases of pregnancy ...

I finished treatment a little over a year an a half ago.  I decided to wait until I got my 1 yr. post treatment test to get pregnant.  I am very happy now because I am now 7 weeks pregnant.  Don't worry it will come to you when it's the right time.  I also believe that the more anxious you get about it the least likely you are to get pregnant.  Just give it some time.

Hi ya Cao! How you feeling these days...We both finished tx same time in Jan!  And successful too,,,Makes you thankful doesn't it.  I'm sure you will have no problems getting pregnant and will be just a matter of changing timing up some due to shorter cycles.  There has to be some ladies out there that have done their time and now moving onto family.  Hope they post soon for you.  Good Luck!

I havent tried to get pregnant post tx(I'm not post tx and way too old anyhow!) but, I dont see why you cannot have a baby.  Relax and give it a go.  Cycles just change with age and you may be getting too worked up with worry.
Good Luck.
