Sweating

Sweating

The past few days I have been sweating like crazy! My head is constantly wet, sleeping or awake. I know I have had a little fever but not enough to warrent the sweating! Of course I wore out the thermometer so I have no idea what my temp. actually is.

I NEVER sweat before tx. Even on hot days, I don't sweat. It has happened several times during tx and wondered if anyone else experience this and know why it happens.

Maybe a little fever plus all that water equals more sweat? Sweat isn't necessarily a bad thing as it can cool your body down. Anyway, I sort of like sweat on a woman :)

Make sure that your thyroid numbers are ok...one thing I know is that can cause it.

I have terrible night head sweats every single night too.  But I do NOT sweat AT ALL even when it's 105 with a 99% humidity. I have thyroid problems that developed from tHE IFN so I just don't sweat at all, except for that.

It's horrible because my body can't adjust to the heat...I'd rather sweat like normal.

I don't know what the "head sweat" is about but it's an every night occurence and has been for the last year.

Thanks! I was wondering if there were any symptoms to thyroid problems. I hope I don't have one. I was looking at my labs and didn't see TSH test on them. These are not included in the regular CBC Comp testing, correct? Do you think I should call the dr?

The sweating is really irritating. Especially when I never sweat before. Now it feels like my pores are pouring! I am constanting throwing clothes off and on when I heat up and cool down.

Yes, they come and go with me. The fever sometimes has something to do with it but others I just breakout in sweats. Prior to treatment This never happened when I was in a comfortable environment and doing something physical. Usually I start flushing hot in the face and then the race is on. I hope they settle down for you. Dale

The same thing happened to me and I was not a big sweater before tx either. Who knows it could be menopausal symptoms at work too for us wimmens.
Mine stopped about month 8 or 9, stopped the way it started just over night. Let's hope yours stops soon too.
Hope you are feeling a bit better psychologically today.

I'm only on week 2 and I have been having the same probs but as I just had my remaining ovary out in june I kinda thought it might be the start of surgically induced menopause.
But I never sweated either and now am a lot.

I've been on treatment for five weeks now and I just took it for granted that I'm hotter than usual and therefore am going to sweat more. I'm drinking at least five times more water than I'm used to. It's that copeg drymouth.

The same thing happened to me while on tx, I took it to mean that the meds was helping me sweat out the virus, just like you would if you had a cold and took cold meds to get better.
I think you'll be fine.

Thanks for the responses! I don't feel so alone now. I am feeling better today, than yesterday mentally and physically. Now if I could stop sweating! It was like 65 degrees out and I am sweating! I went through menopause with NO sweating. It is sure weird though.

I have had chills and fever for a day or so and sweat, but this seems different because it is constant.

I need to go take a shower and get all these toxins off of me. That always feels better.

Yes, 12 week PCR is on Sept.12th.  I'm feeling better then before doing tx, just hope I'm still undetectable. My ALT is 13 and AST is 24 but as I get closer to my PCR I find myself getting very nervous, guess it's normal.
How are you doing your second time around?  Are your sxs better this time?  You should be more then half way through tx, am I right?  How did you handle the Ca. heat wave?

My gut feeling is you are SVR but I can't wait to hear your results, I think we all get nervous about those PCR's every time, even years later.
Here in SB we didn't get the heat wave, hit 85 a couple days but that isn't bad. if you drove 10 miles east is was hot as a pistol. That is the glory of this place, the incredible temperate weather. Are you still going to visit this year?
Thanks for asking how Im doing. I am hanging in there trying to remain optimistic i spite of the constant drag a$$ feelig this tx gives me, I am satisfied if I can get a hour of gardening in. I am 3 weeks shy of the one year mark so then I have six months to go and I am done!
Still UND since week 4, so I am hoping this time is the charm. If not, I am grateful my body got a respite from the virus for a year and a half.

Still UND since week 4, I would say this time you'll make it.  Did you see NYgirl's post about Dr J?  If I relapse I'll be going to Dr. J too.  Was not happy to hear not many studies done on Geno 2's and 3's like us.  I guess all we can do is hope for the best.

I just took a shower and I'm already sweating again! Does anyone here have their TSH tested regularly for thyroid?

Kalio;  Yes, SB is nice weather. Where I live now it is a bit hotter than closer to the bay. When are you coming to visit me? Didn't you say you'll be up here soon?

Isn't the fatigue the worst? I wish everyday I had the energy to do  one quarter of what I used to do.

MBB; You sound so much better, it will be party time when you hit that UND.

Morgaina; I am hanging in there. Thanks for asking. This tx has been pretty rough on me, but I am trying to keep my spirits up. You had bone pain? Did you take anything for it?

I think maybe the toxins are washing away. I just had 3 fleas jump on me! They haven't liked me at all during tx. Maybe these poisons are just flushing outta my system. We'll see if the fleas die after they bite me!

sweating more... ugh.  I am always the hot one at the office.  Very rarely do I get cold.  Others can be walking around with sweaters and I have a sleeveless top on.  Winter time I love it and am the first one out shoveling the drive and walk.  I hate to drive in rush hour in it otherwise I love the cool weather.

yeah, I had nasty joint and bone pain. Started with T3's but was taking too many so went to the doc and changed me to codiene contin and arthrotec. Worked pretty good, only extra T3 once in a while. but arthro hard on my stomach along with eprex and riba. Ended up in hospital bleeding from lower end with lots of owie. If you're having pain, I think the codiene contin (will bung you up)works really well but that arthrotec might be too harsh on an already sensitive system. Take care of the pain though, it may overwhelm you if it's not kept in check. Who's line is this...."better living through medical science". It's a good one for us right now. Take care

Aren't you coming up on your 12 week PCR very soon now?
Hope you are feeling good and getting back to your old self.

Said: Was not happy to hear not many studies done on Geno 2's and 3's like us

I was so glad I thought of you and Kal and asked.  Dr. J was NOT happy about the fact that all the attention is being given to Geno 1s.  He really "got it" that there seem to be so many relapsers lately (but you are NOT one and you will NOT need to see him thank GOD).  The passion he spoke with about it really amazed me.  He just CARES so much about us, it made my heart feel so GREAT to know someone out there like him is on our side and fighting with us.

I told him so. He probably thought I was an escaped mental patient but...I let him know just how we think of him. I figure with all the work he does for us...it would be nice for him to hear how appreciated it really is.

He seemed TOTALLY shocked to know that he's the rock star of HepC docs LOL.  He asked me who referred me to him and I said ME. And he said huh? He just couldn't believe that there was a whole lot of people who knew of him.

He said well then send them all my way! And he laughed. I told him oh don't worry anyone who can possibly see you will be..with you it's like out of the mouth of GOD for us hahahahaha.

I figured what the heck it's true and well it wouild make him know how much we NEED someone like him on the front lines fighting the fight to help us all.

They are so thorough you would LOVE them.
