Swollen Feet/Ankles - Which Drug is Causing This?

My feet and ankles are really swollen, just began noticing this the last couple of days.  I'm on so many different meds that it's going to be hard to narrow it down.  I've just started taking Neupogen and Procrit, the Procrit I've only done one shot so far and the Neuprogen, I've just completed shot number 3 last night.  I take the Neuprogen twice a week and Procrit once a week.  It still could be sides from the Ribaviran or the Interferon, but this late in the game I would think is unusual.

I'm also taking Lisinopril for high blood pressure, a PPI for acid reflux, Celexa and Colace....*lol*  A year ago, the only med I was taking was the Lisinpril.

Is anyone else having this problem?  I can't wait til this treatment is OVER!!!!  Tonight is shot number 29, 19 weeks to go!

It is hard to figure out which med is causing which sx. When we're on so many, it's not like we can eliminate them one by one to get to the cause.

How have your kidney function tests been running?

I'm not sure about my kidney function tests but I'm sure they've been okay or my doctor would have said something but I do intend to call her later today and let her know about the swollen feet and ankles.

Linda, I don't know the answer either but I'm glad you're going to inform your doc.  I do recall that the Endocrinologist that I see for my hypothyroidism always asks if I've had any swelling in my ankles (and she checks for it herself).  So, given that it could be a thyroid issue, make sure they are checking your TSH.

At first my doctor was concerned, thinking that where one was slighting bigger than the other one that it could be a blood clot but the swelling went away and hasn't come back since Friday.  She now thinks it could have been a side effect of either the Procrit or the Neupogen.

If it happens again, I need to see my PCP where he will decided whether or not I need to have my ankles ultrasounded.

Thank you for your help!
