Will check with the trial doctor. He is a gastro and my doctor put me on the wellbutrin recently to stop smoking cause I have hypertension. When I told the gastro this he said not to worry about the cigarettes rght now . He said this is not the time to be trying to quit.

yYour doc may have suggested you not try to quite smoking while on treatment because of the added stress when treating,however given the current article below ,you may want to rethink that.  It states that smoking was shown definitively to speed up progression of liver damage and to increase chances of people with HCV getting (HCC) liver cancer. Also ,it may adversely affect your treatment result.
Quitting smoking is a tough one,however it may well be worth it in the end.
