Woooooow! When I read everyones responses I became overwhelmed. You all are the greatest. I almost started to cry. Indiana and Harley Dude made me actually laugh out loud. It was great. As most of you who are already on tx must know, I am becoming very, very anxious as "the day" gets closer. I really need to try to use some self control before I KILL someone{not literally}. Anyway, thank all of you sooo much. I even printed a copy to keep.

ask your dr. for some xanax. There is nothing like that feeling of terror leading up to the 1st shot. I was so terrified I thought I was going to have a heart attack. I had a panic attack a few days after my 1st shot and the dr. gave me xanax and I wished I had had it a few days earlier. I'll be doing shot 10 and it wasn't until last week that I finally mellowed out and am no longer afraid because the shot doesn't affect me at all.  It's the ribaviran and the procrit that are doing me in. good luck to you.

Xanax worked great for me too. I to had a anixty attack the first wk. It takes the edge right away. I'm on wk 8 & doing good. Good luck! Just use when needed as it is addictive.

That old pre-1st shot anxiety is way worse than the actual 1st shot.
