The Liver Meeting

The AASLD (American Society for the Study of Liver Disease) annual meeting started today.  It will be attended by infectious disease specialists, gastroenterologists, hepatologists and lots of researchers from those fields presenting papers and posters of their research, much of it on Hepatitis C treatments.  May take a few days to get into the juicier bits, but a good place to look for results is on the NATAP site at

Press reports also show up in financial sections because investors want to know about new drugs coming, but NATAP seems to be pretty quick with posting info and is a very good place to get informed.  Can't wait, myself.

Is it just me or was this a fairly dull meeting?  All of the presentations of interest, like results from boceprevir or teleprevir trials, were of information that had already come out in other places; just a rehash of known info.  Did I miss something good?
