The Riba ferry came by this weekend....

That Bit*h. I woke up Sunday morning with a nice size patch of rash on my right arm and one not quite as impressive on my left arm. I was sort of gloating (to myself) last week because I had not been affected by the dreaded Riba Rash yet... The other shoe just fell. What was it you guys , Gold Bond or Hydrocortisone?

GOLD BOND MEDICATED TRIPLE THREAT ANTI ITCH SEVERAL times a day all over your body will prevent it from getting bad and heal it up.  Until the Gold Bond find I was covered in rash head to toe - big ugly welts because I kept scratching...that later turned to scars. Nice huh?

Then I started moisturizing several times a day and they are completely gone.  If I don't moisturize they come right back in a few days!

The hydroC is good to use on the spots that are making you crazy...but make SURE you keep on moisturizing as often as you can to keep them at bay.

I'm unfortunately an expert in this situation and now that springtime is here am hoping that the scars fade FAST!

Are you using the gold bond to moisturize? , or just treat the rash?

Is this going to spread by me touching it , or does it just spread by itself?

The only "cure" I've found for the rash IS to moisturize.  I never ever was the type of person who put on lotions and junk like that.  But I find without any doubt when I make sure I put it on all over that I do NOT get the rash any longer AT ALL (and I take a lot of Riba for my weight - 117lbs 1,000 riba since the beginning).

I think it COMES from our skin being dehydrated for whatever reason and when you really make sure you put on a coat of the stuff at least twice a day all over...it does NOT come at ALL!
(At least for me and most of the guys).

I don't need the hydroC at all because I don't have the bumps anymore~it really fixes it!

If you don't like the gold bond or it doesn't work you can try Aveeno or another type = different things work on people but most of us LOVE the Gold Bond so much!

It spreads by itself, touching won't hurt I dont think BUT if you scratch it the bumps can get really grossly infected and then leave scars.  My bumps got to the point they were the size of a half dollar and bruised looking because I itched them so much. Now I have like nickel sized scars on my sides, legs and arms because I was just like a kid with the chickenpox and could NOT stop itching!

If only I'd found the Gold Bond sooner!  It sure does work.

One other thing to be consistent with that helped me a bunch. Drink plenty of water per day. I weigh 200 lbs so directions say 100 oz of water daily. Keep some type of moisturizer on the skin a couple times a day and finger nails away from it. Good luck. Dale

For me it's extra strength Gold Bond.  I started using it a week before starting tx and I just did shot # 18 and still no rash.  I use it 3-4 times a day.

I have been fortunate there, I have had NO rash, but I already have the Gold Bold that I read about all the time , just in case.
