Well I woke up with joint pain, but I took a pain pill and it helped some, couldnt hardly walk to good when I got out of bed, Joints an bones are bad now days. Does anyone else have this problem? I haven't seen any posts about this one..lol

I seem to feel it more in snow and rain. Never had back issues in my life last week if I moved a certain way. Oh well at this point what's one more sx. My positive thought is that I'm lucky to have this chance to fight the dragon one more time :)

I'm so sorry to hear you're in such discomfort.
I'm not doing the three way yet, I had hip pain early on and can commiserate.

During my first tx, I had horrible bone pain. The best thing I can say is it didn't last and after tx, it never returned.

I think livingontheedge has some good suggestions for helping to reduce the swelling.

Same here with the pain. I am on soc geno type 2 and lately the pain in my hips and the middle of my upper back has been unbearable!!! To the point I was almost physically ill the other day. I have a very high pain tolerance and this is kicking my A$$. I use Ice and rice bags in the micro alternate and that gives some relief and try not to take anything for the pain but had to break down the other night and take it. I was like a crazy person walking in circles ready to cry :( at least the tylenol lets you get a little sleep. Its funny the way it comes on, not constant but like you'll be fine and bam! Stinks. BUT!!!! On a good note got my 8 week vl and I am UND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :) happy face all over my house. :)

Hi Patches,   You poor thing, you have had the worst time with sx.   Well, I am going to blast off here and maybe you will feel not so alone.   6 days Post INC tx, and I am dying !  LOL !   Seems like the INC , masked alot of the pain issues for me during the first 12 weeks.   Now coming off of it has been hell.  So I would assume its the Pegasys & Riba now kicking me in the hiney.   I have have severe back pain all week along with some hip pain and I thought I had broke three of my knuckles in my right hand until I went to the chiropractor Friday and he said I have a nice fat dose of the old Tennis Elbow.   I have not slept solid all week, and when I do its intermittent.
I am using alot of heat, followed by ice backs and so forth.   I hate taking tylenol, but have broke down the last two nights and took 2 500 mg tabs at bed time.   Helps some but doesnt last.   Today has been a good day.  I have hurt all day but I have stayed major busy in the house, cleaning and so forth, I am getting ready to soak and do my ice and heat thing again, followed by my acetaminophen cocktail and hopefull that will knock me out.    Good Luck girl, main thing is just keep blasting forward, when you can breath !   LOL

I agree that it is most likely the Interferon. I don't take anything for the discomfort either and hope it goes away eventually.

Agree with james, interferon can cause this, procrit also caused me to have some hip and joint pain.......... A positive attitude is better then dwelling over things you can't control.......... Good luck

I didn't do 3x.  I had massive joint pain in my hips, it's the interferon I believe not the Incivek.

I'm in week 18 now and I've had bad hip joint pain for several weeks now.  I don't take anything for it, I figure I'd have to take something every few hours and since I can't, I don't take anything.  Just muddle through and lie down when I have to...

I have 1 /12 weks left of the Incivek. I have been having hip joint pain for about 2-3 weeks. They just ache when I do anything. Also, the muscles in my hips and legs feel extremely fatigued, like a person's arms feel like afterm holding them above one's head for 5 minutes. This is different from the generalized malaise and the minor aches and pains and flu like symptoms that go along with the inj and the meds. I am sure it is the meds. Hope it goes away eventually.
