Thyroid issues-1st shot tomorrow

Hi Friends,
Had planned to start tx 2 weeks ago but it took a slide as a result of elevated AST/ALT levels
today the new bloodwork results are out. ALT/ALT levels have taken a dip but the hyperthyrodism seem to pose a bit of a problem with the below numbers
FREE T4--18(range 4.5--10.9)
T3--2.68(range 0.60--1.81)
TSH--1.574(range 0.35--5.5)
T3 and T4 are out of range but TSH is within range

The hepatologist is making me start tx tomorrow inspite of the out of range thyroid numbers

have been taking some pills for the past 2 weeks to reduce the T3 and T4 levels

As usual, any comments would be highly appreciated

i recently experienced a thyroid crisis and sought help on the forum. nice to have support but there is no better advice than that of your dr. with my situation i became confused and on my own stopped taking thyroid meds, made things worse for me physically. luckily it was a relatively quick fix to double meds.

tx meds will mess with your thyroid, i'm certain the dr. will continue to watch your numbers and advise you accordingly. of course you could always express your concerns to him/her.

One of the bad side effects of interferon can be certain auto immune problems and one of them is thyroid.  I am certain your doctor will continue to monitor closely. I ws extremely hyper and then switched to extremely hypo in just three weeks. It is common to happen that way.

Good luck!
