Tightness in my chest?

Hi Everyone
I am new to this forum, I found out  three months ago I have Hep C Genotype 3A. I started my treatment of Solvaldi 400 mg and Ribavirin 200 mg five days ago. So far the only side effect that concerns me is the tightness in my chest I get sometimes. Has anyone else had the same experience? It is a little scary . Called and left message with my doc this am thought I would ask while I am waiting to hear back from him. Thanks

I am experiencing the same thing, 3 days into treatment. It started last night. I too, am waiting to hear back from my Dr... it IS  little scary.. It is also accompanied by shortness of breath that lasts for about half hour or so.. I can't even catch enough breath to yawn. I am wondering if it just anxiety. I am hoping so.

Yes I did get a phone call back he said it was not a side effect probably just anxiety, if it continued to go to my primary doc. and have her treat me for the anxiety. My hepatitis doc is not very informative about anything does not have much of a personality either. When he told me  I needed to go on treatment he just handed me the two scripts and said get blood work done in 4 weeks and come back to his office in 5 weeks. Didn't explain anything about the drugs or side effects. I had to go with a specialist that took my insurance so I couldn't change. Thanks for getting back to me and for the good wishes.

I havent heard of this side effect happening to anyone on these meds. But I was in a trial and they did an echocardiogram (sp) every time to see if there was any issues. There wasnt but these meds are so new there is not much data. Did you hear back from your doc yet?

I would say if it continues to talk with your doc first before taking more meds.
Good luck to you!
