Times for RIBAVARIN

I am going into week 3 of my treatment for hep c,I'm currently on pegasus,ribavarin,and incevek (telapravir) anyway my queston is I usually take it 10 in the morning and 7 or 8 at night. And I wanted to know is there a time limit for how many hours apart?cause the bottle just says one in the morning and once in the evening.anyway let me know.

Can't answer as I only did peg and riba. Just wanted to say godd job on starting tx and good luck!

Although taking Riba at 12 hr intervals would be ideal due to it's very long half life, this isn't nearly as important as the Incivek (7-9 hrs).  Actually, many have been told by their doctors to take the Riba with the Inc since you're already eating a fatty meal and less likely to forget.   Some try to avoid taking Riba too late in the evening due to sleeping issues.  

As always, it's good to check with either your doctor or specialty pharmacy when verifying these questions.   My unprofessional opinion is - no problem with the Riba at 9-10 hrs between doses.  Best of luck with trt.

My husband was told to take his Inc every 8 hours and Riba every 10 hours.  Since he works swing shift (3 PM to 11:30 PM), his schedule is:
8 AM: Inc
10 AM: Riba
4 PM: Inc
8 PM: Riba
12:00 AM: Inc
This seems to be working out for him.

My schedule:

6:00 AM - RBV & INC
2:00 PM - INC
6:00 PM - RBV
10:00 PM - INC

Breakfast at 5:30 AM and Dinner at 5:30 PM, Snack at 2:00, Desert at 10

My doctor has me on Incivek twice a day, so my schedule may not work for you

7:30 am 3 Inc., 3 Riba
7:30 pm. 3 Inc., 2 Riba

So far it's working well for me.  Viral load dropped from 3.6 million to 683 in 2 weeks.  Just started week 3.

Do you eat before you take meds or meds first then food .Doesthe order matter ?

You eat before taking the meds and should take the meds within 30 mins of eating.
