That's exactly right. You will never know all the times you have touched dried blood in public places, past present and future. You can't make yourself paranoid about it. Hepatitis C is much harder to transmit than most people realize. In my opinion, you were not at risk.

Yes...i now that the best is testing...just sometimes people don't know what is risk and what is not...you cannot test everytime you touch something....that is why i am asking people who are maybe more familiar with me about the transmission
Thank you
At this point I think you can get AIDS from a duck !! I am in that small percentage that has no clue - not even a guess of how I might have been infected with HCV. And I have a very short window - 6 months - in which to look.
I agree with sunflower - just get tested and hopefully put it out of your mind. I understand how you feel, it is scary but you will be okay no matter what.
Best of luck
its a fairly simple test to find out if you have HCV, and getting tested might help ease some of your anxiety. You can always call your doctor and go in and visit with them about it. they may talk with you about a time line appropriate for testing, and be able to ease some of the anxiety. I personally would rather be over proactive and check than toil away at worry with out action. I was lucky, I showed symptoms which I thought were due to my gallbladder being removed and having stones again, but it was enough for me to go to the doctor to ask questions and see about having some tests done. They tested me for everything under the sun, so while it came back that I had Hep C, it also came back that I didnt have ANY thing else....I didnt take hearing that I had Hep C well, but I'd rather know than not know. Knowing I can do somethng about, no knowing is too much worry.
I was wondering...dried blood cannot flow from the clothes to the bloodstream...but although the wound wasn't bleeding the wound was still open (blood was on the surface)....isn't it possible....dried blood in contact with little blood on the surface of the wound
Sorry i'm so paranoid...but it just seems to me it's the same like razors and going crazy
Thanks
The dried blood on a razor can get into you when it cuts you... same with nail clippers. There is something placing the blood inside of you... what you wrote above has nothing placing the blood inside of you.
Diane
I think the same....but i read that dried blood on razors and nail-clippers could be dangerous and that is why i thought maybe it is the same with clothes.
No... how is dried blood going to flow into your blood stream?
