Transmition in hospital
I have entered the hospital in order to be operated and i was speaking with a guy who had been recenly oparated.
He had just removed his arm catheter like 3 hours ago and had some dried blood on his arm.
I asked him for one of his cigarettes and he gave one. I am wondering if he had touched his cigarets with his hands and had some leftover dried blood because he was picking the sight.... And me putting the cigarette in my mouth without any cuts on my mouth.... is there any real risk of hep c transmition from this? I appreciate your time.

Hepatitis C is transmitted via blood to blood exchange. That means in some way a person's HCV infected blood has to enter your blood stream. I cannot speak to other diseases or infections but based on what you say the odds of you contracting Hepatitis C are extremely remote.
