Treatment for depression

There is no doubt about it. Hep C and the meds for teatment of hep c brings on depression. "Deep dark Depression, excessive misery" to quote HEEHAW.
I have found that for me to deal w/ the "mental mush" is to laugh.  1st, I laugh at me for being such a baby about all this
HepCrap. I would hate to be the only one NOT laughing at me.
2nd, I try to poke a joke w/ all I come in contact with. Med ppl always ask me if I ever have thoughts of suicide. I tell them "no way, my wife would kill me if I commited suicide." I get a lot of strange looks from ppl.

Does hep c make us all blood relatives? OOOOOH, thats scary huh?

Everyday I think " I'm one day closer to that LAST SHOT"

Try it. Whatchu got to lose? the Blues?

Remember, "a giggle a day helps keep depression at bay"

Let me know how its goin.

The 24 weeks I was on IFN were also weeks of depression, crumbs, the memory of the depression is depressing to this day.

I still laughed a lot, I am a silly person and my husband says he only loves me because I make him laugh every day.  It was good therapy. And you gave me a giggle, with the blood relatives idea, and then I had to think seriously on it.  We ARE all blood relatives, like cancer survivors being the only ones who understand what each other TRULY went thru, only us with the virus (and experience with IFN) can understand each other.

If it only started with one virion a long time ago, then we are on part of the family tree.  Scuse me if I swear, but I will be so damn glad when this f@@%%%g tree is cut down!!  Glad for all of us.

Keep laughing, keeps the blood oxygenated.  So much in life to laugh about.

I've started to have some depression. ( I do #30 this week ) but it generally doesn't last. Usually it's a 'night thing' laying in bed. I'm not even sure it has anything to do with the tx. My life wasn't exactly all roses before the treatment.
Hang in there. Keep talking/posting. That's the best thing for depression.

It's all part of it. When we signed on for this, I wish we could pick and choose what sides we wanted. Unfortunately, that option wasn't available. Some have worse, some have less. I'm one that has to take something for my depression and it helps smooth the rough edges. That and thanking God for one more day. I've learned alot about myself these past 35 weeks. Smiling and being happy about me sure doesn't hurt either! Haven't got to the giggle stage yet but I'm working on it! Take care.
