Treatments for Hep C / I don't understand

I really do not understand the agony people put themselves through with current treatments except they have hope.  But at the same time, don't you realize you are destroying your immune system.  I have had Hep C for 35 years.  Yes I often feel fatigue, but I am 61 and still living a normal life.  THERE IS NO CURE HEPATITIS C TODAY.

I too lived with it for 30 years without even knowing it.

But I know now and my His grace and mercy found out before it was too late.  Although being stage 4 some damage has been done, I at least now know, am trying to clear it, and if nothing else aware and can more closely monitor it should this tx be considered a failure in a few weeks or try other alternatives.

Mom...I love you.  I bet that is what your son thinks 24 hours a day.  He is one lucky lucky young man to have you and the exuberant love you have for him.

Don't worry - you have enough strength to keep going and he will listen to the right things (via you) and live to well AFTER 61.

Basic common sense tells you if herbs worked...we'd all do them and not treatment but then NOBODY has the statistics on ONE person who was "cured" with them.

Your love will get your son the cure. I have no doubt of this in my mind. NONE.  Herbs or no herbs!  ;)

Read my othe post.  I almost died from Hep C 30 years ago.  My liver was throwing off bile so rappidly you could hear it, and my organs had begun to shut down, Doctors at Scripps Research Foundation thought I could possibly die at the age of 27 or so.  First appearence when I entered the foundation, they thought I had lukemia but that was ruled out after blood work. I was a patient who lived inside the hospital for 6 months and returen every two week for the next several years. Believe me, I was as sick as a young girl could possibly be at the age of 24 to 27.  The only thing is they did not have a name for it until later years.  So glad I the treatment was not available then.  I'd probably be dead

I am not saying don't treat.  I am saying when and if it doesn't work, or if you want to try another road, or if you become too sick to tollerate the treatments, there are alternatives like building your ammune (immune) sysrem.  Look at all the posts where people have other issues they did not have before treatment.  Look at the ill people from treating on the board. And yes there are those who claim to be healed.  But give it time, like a few years before one can say they are compleltly healed.  If you are treating, best to you, but this does not work for everyone, just as maybe the alternate does not work for everyone. I believe you must have faith along with the herbs.  I think my faith and prayers has done more for me than the herbs, but I never forget that God has put all the natural food necessary on earth to heal. I am saying I would not put myself told me through the torment of treating when my doctors clearly told me it is not a proven cure and the virus often hides for awhile and comes back. Also, I do not trust doctors with my life.  As far as being healed from herbs...NO...But I have sustained my health to live normally.  I mean, come on, I am 61 years old and I am more active than my 37 year old daughter.  The virus
may be hiding in my body but at least I am stunting it's growth, and have done so for 35 years. 10 more years I'll be 71. And 20 more years 81.  I think I can keep the virus confined that many more years. Heck most people don't live longer than that anyway.  I have Hep C yes, but I also have Cytomegalovirus which often has the same fatigue sysptoms as Hep C along with daily gasteritis attacks. I get none of that anymore. I think people simply do not understand that herbs take some time to show results on the body.  Not days or weeks, but after taking for months or a year before one actually recognizes the results. Just as recovery with the liver is not something that happens over night. The liver takes time to heal and it is a VERY slow process, so slow that often one is better and does not realized it because they have been ill so long.  Then one day they realize they are doing more than they could do before. As I said, it took me 8 years to actually realize I was recovering, and then I realized I did not have to consider myself so limited as before.  Again, I personally do not understand how one can put themself through such agony.  But that is because I have faith in God can heal me, and I do not put my faith in doctors.  I am not saying to all don't treat, I am saying me personally, I would not treat.  To each his own, I am just giving a different view, a proven alternative like me and hope, because there is hope without treatment.
   Now let me say,,,those that are very young and caught the virus early, treatment may very well kill the virus before it has hold.  I admit I do not know all. But for me, I simply can not even consider treatment.

Cytomegalovirus.  This virus is contract either by needles, blood, just like Hep C or hiv or passed from mother..  But you  can also be born with the virus dormant. Today they are finding it is very common amoung the population.  Some do not even know they have it.
To determine CMV, a doctor must know your blood count and have 2 test done two weeks apart.  This is the only way they can determine CMV for sure.
My daughter was born with agent but it is domant most the time unless she catches a cold or flu or something.  This is when it tends to show it's ungly face. But as a baby, my daughter had alot of gas and cried alot. We later found it was due to CMV passed from me. But she is well today and only has symptoms when she has caught a bug.
Me, I contracted it when I was in the hospital before they knew much about it. Or they said maybe due to the Hep C and fighting HCV so long, I developed CMV.  Or maybe I was given a tainted needle years ago before they used exposables.  I don't think they really know.  I've never used drugs, so that's out.
    
    Early years they thought it was only in new born babies who either died from it, were serverly deformed, or retarded.  But today they know it is much more common and found in many adults and can stay dormant if one remains healthy. It is an immune disorder in that when you catch the common cold or flu, often with CMV the blood becomes confused and instead od eating only the flu or cold bug it eats some red cells causing the other red cells to enlarge to make up for those eaten by the white. The symptoms for me have alway been I look extrememly pale. It too can cause fatigue, and gasteritis is the major symptom.
  You said you had it.  Well, I do know that some people with Hep C or HIV are often stricken with CMV due to the blood fighting so long and hard.  For some reason they develope CMV. Actually, knowing how ill I was at one time, I believe CMV can develope.  I came to this conclusion after reading about people with HIV who suddenly have CMV also that never had it before.
    Most what you read about CMV say it is non-symptomatic.  I disagree.  It's a bunch of doctor's who have never seen an active case writting this ****, just as you read about Hep C often being non-symptomatic.  Bull. I'd like to see one of these doctors experience one or the other, then see what they write.  Anyway, hope this info helps.  by the way, this info came from a doc a Scripps Research Foundation.

I was suprised to find out that I had cytomeglia virus also. Do they say why yours is still active.

Mine was high 7.21 when I had it. but the way it shows now, it is 0.062      reference  <0.600 Dormant now I guess. Hope it stays that way.

My body seemed to have fought it off. The holistic doc I was going to said , whew, you got through that, but I don't even know when I had it.

Not even sure about how you get it. From what I read, it seem to be similiar as Epstein Barr, where as you can catch it from close contact, saliva. Also many children at day care get it from one another. Epstein Barr is carcinogenic,I wonder if cyto is. Thats why I agree with you and take many antioxidants to try to prevent a problem. I see you are a man of faith. I am a believer and would appreciate your prayers as I try to conquer this virus. you will be in mine also. Getting back to the cytomeglia......

I believe it can re activate? Hope it doesn't. That was my concern about tx and immune system lowerering and cytomeglia waking up, if possible, but guess I'll have to cross that bridge when I come to it. If you have any info on the cytomeglia virus form your doc, please let me know.

Also found out I had hep A and fought that and one and now am immune. I have no idea about that either. I felt as if the doctor was giving me someone elses report. Couldn't believe it. thanks for your information and prayers.
