UND

by granitekonig, Jan 20, 2009 05:36PM
Just found out I'm UND at the 4 week mark, G3.

To say I'm happy is an understatement. Now I just need to finish up the six months. I want to thank you all for your wisdom and kindness AND criticism. I've learned so much from all of you already and am looking forward to future banter.

Congratulations GK;  what a blessed relief to know the meds are really doing their thing well.   When I was a RVR at 4 weeks my specialist sent me a letter saying I had a 85% chance of SVR, possibly greater, with optimum tx of 24 weeks (advanced fibrosis).   I felt like framing that letter.     This result will give you huge incentive.  Congrats again!!

are you on a trial or SOC?

i have decided im waiting for the new drugs unless something changes with my health in the next year or two... i only want to do it ONCE --- well twice really since i did tx with peg & virimadine 4 years ago

congrats i bet you are bouncing off the walls...

by granitekonig, Jan 21, 2009 12:04PM
I'm using the SOC method, no trial. My Dr. said that all G3's should be taking 800mg of riba, but thanks to this forum, I upped it to 1200mg per day. I got some extra "sample" bottles from his nurse behind his back. Pays to be charming, lol.

Super-awesome news! It sure does make enduring the sides easier when you hear that it is at least working...and sounds like working really well in your case!

Big congrats.  Things are looking very good.

I am interested to know to what sensitivity you vl was measured. It's been a topic of discussion lately.

In my case my 3A was measured at 18iu/ml at week four. . . as measured to <5. It turned out to be close enough as the 16 wk post pcr was undie to <5.

Things are looking very good for you indeed.

PS My regimen was 24 wks at 180 IF and 1200 riba.
