UNDETECTABLE 6 MONTHS POST!

UNDETECTABLE 6 MONTHS POST!

Just wanted to share my news and offer some encouragement to those of you still on tx. Just got the results of my 6 month post-tx Heptimax test back and it was undetectable (yeah!) This one is the litmus test according to what I've read by all of you here. Liver enzymes were normal and CBC results were good. Doc said I'll get another test in 6 months and I'm assuming yearly thereafter. It's been a struggle but surprisingly it went very quick. (fyi I was a 3a).

Hope all of you have a good weekend and are feeling good!

Laurie

I'm really pleased for you. You are right, this is the litmus test. I was 3a too. Actually, I have only once heard of a 3a who has not been successful with treatment. Enjoy your new life!

Thanks for all of your comments. When I was still in tx, I used to love reading these posts. If this medicine can cure quite a few people, I can't see that they are too far off in finding a cure for all.

Quak - been feeling great physically. Walk 4 miles 4 or more times a week. Have energy, hair has grown back, nails are growing like weeds. Only slight problem is the brain fog, but hoping that is just a lingering side. How have you been doing? You're done now aren't you? Sorry, but I have a hard time keeping track of who's done and who's not (brain interference again!).

WOO-HOO!!!  Great news Laurie.  Quak and I both finished last week, so we are looking forward to good news in a few months.  Take  care and stick around once in a while.

That is wonderful news. Six months is THE hurdle and you made it. Now, your odds of this damned disease rearing its head have gone down, down, down!

If I hear UNDETECTABLE at six months post tx I don't know whether I will laugh, cry or do a little jig -- probably all three.

I'm so happy for you.
