Ugh..feeling like crap today after starting over

Good morning all.  Well, yesterday I started back taking 400 Mg of the Riba and a full dose of Peg-Intron around 12:30.  By 4 pm, I started feeling the body aches (mostly across the back of my ribs) and started with chills for a good 2 hours. It kinda felt like I was back to week 1 again.  And this is after only missing 2 weeks of treatment (due to low platelet count). This is actually week 8 for me, but now I understand how some of you said it will be like starting over.  I also had a wicked headache all night and could feel it in my sleep.  I still have it after just waking up. *sigh*
I go to my new Dr. this Wednesday.  Looking forward to getting better-educated about all of my counts and levels, and I'm going to make it clear to Dr. R that I want to understand it all.
Reasons why I am changing doctors: My dr. wasn't informing me properly (in my mind). Everything I was told was very vague and he used no tech terms or told me my counts/levels unless I asked. At that point (before coming to this forum) I didn't realize how uninformed I was. Also, his staff was less than dependable..I couldn't depend on messages getting through, and sometimes waiting days to get a response.  This REALLY pissed me off numerous times, and I'm a pretty patient/easy-going person. I came to the conclusion that he and his staff were not very experienced in Hep C..either that or they just plain suck with patient service.  I gave him a 3-page document yesterday telling him everything I felt.  Im hoping it will help them be able to improve their ways for the next person who uses them.

I'm sorry you're feeling yuk today, I relapsed after 48wks and started again a year later, my 1st shot gave me a fever of 102 aches, chills and felt soooo bad, in fact
doc told me to go to ER, by the time I got there and seen my temp had dropped and felt better, haven't had any more than the usual yuk since, I believe that ist shot after even a little while sux, get under the comforter, turn the tv on, and get some sleep, It will get better, not great, just better. Hope the next time we talk you'll be feeling better, bye for now.

Thanks for your advice..and that's just what I've been doing today.  Silly me, I forgot to take some Advil beforehand yesterday which didn't help at all.
I appreciate your help.

I'm assuming that you recently to a Peg injection which is what is giving you the chills and temp swings.  Did you try Tylenol, or Tylenol PM, with injection?   The reason I ask is that Tylenol can help combat the flu like symptoms that the interferon produces.

Always be sure to get copies of all your lab work. Some people here have them faxed, but I just wait to see the Dr.

I have copies of every single thing as soon as I found out I had this disease. It's great because I can go back and see how high my blood was before tx and also go back one month or two to see how fast it's dropping.
Even though you feel you have a good DR, it's always good to be pro-active in your treatment.

The last time I went in for lab I decided I wanted to know how my tsh (thyroid)numbers were and also--I haven't seen my liver enzymes (ast and alt) since before tx. So I had my nurse add it to the order--and enzymes ARE HIGHER than they should be.
