Used needle to flush tonsil stones

Hi there,
I have 1 syringe and needle that I keep in my bathroom cabinet that I use to flush out my tonsil stones from time to time. Everytime I use it, I flush it out with hydrogen peroxide first. The other day it accured to me that maybe my brothers care giver touched it and maybe put blood on it.. I know for sure that atleast 6 hours passed from when he was in the house to when I used it to flush my tonsil. I did fill the needle and syringe severel times with peroxide to clean it prior to use, and I held it over a flame for a few seconds on the stove until it turned orange with heat. This time when I flushed my tonsil stone however I accidently stabbed it with the needle and it bled, the tip of the needle entered but I didn't inject anything.. I immediately sprayed peroxide from the syringe onto where it was bleeding.. I read somewhere that tonsil tissue is more susceptible to virus infections as it contains lots of immune cells. Given the worst case scenario that my bothers care giver did mess with my needle 6 hours prior, would flushing it out with peroxide 3% and burning it for a few seconds prior use kill the Hep C virus? Have I managed to put myself at risk from this scenario? Please help me understand my risk.. Thank you so much for your time...

Thank you very much Kim for taking the time to respond, I really appreciate it.. Before I posted the question here I was searching all over the net for answers but I could not get any information on wether the Virus would be able to withstand peroxide and or heat... Some say it's a real tough virus to kill. Thank You again!
