Very slow breathing

by cici2, Feb 02, 2008 08:37PM
Awhile back I fell asleep. I woke up later mainly because I felt very weak, my breathing was slower than usual--extremely slow, I almost feel like I'm going to pass out if I went back to sleep and never wake up again. It worries me alot because I've never experienced this before. I don't know if this has anything to do with hepatitis C. Im 24 and was diagnosed abt a month ago. Im still not taking any meds because Im still waiting for other bloodtest results, which are taking really long. Now I notice I'm feeling numb in my hands. Overall I just feel weak. My mind is alert but my body can't seem to catch up, I'm very confused...I can't find much information on very slow breathing online...does anyone know what this might be? pls help....

I've felt this too, but mainly on treatment.  Maybe you've developed anemia?  If so, blackstrap molasses really helped me and you may need to make a few other adjustments your diet.  Try this concoction:
1/2 tsp baking soda
2 Tbsp of apple cider vinegar
1 Tbsp blackstrap molasses
add warm water and try to drink this 3x daily
While on tx I was told not to take any vitamins with iron as there is a risk it could build up in the liver and lead to other complications.
Good luck, try not to freak yourself out, and call your doctor if things get worse

first thing i would do is ask your doc and if it is making you feel uncomfortable then you should go to er imediately.

i know sleep apnea can do some of the things you speak of but i am not a doctor.

i really think you should call the hospital you go to and ask for the nurse on duty and run it by her or him and see what they think.

please let us no how it goes.
