Veterans with HCV?

All,
Any military veterans out there with a VA disability rating for HCV? I'm curious has to what disability rating the VA grants for HCV

Sorry no answer for that, if nobody knows here call your local VA office. Thats what my dad did over losing his hearing in one ear. Best to you.

I have va disability from the va..hep c..I was an infantry medic and was able to prove that I was exposed through needle stick..The guidelines are very basic..If you were in the military prior to,"i believe".... 1986..and you can prove exposure there..and you were in the right mos...no tatoos....You have a case..What was your MOS?

I never applied for disability, but I did look into receiving medical benefits for tx.  My ex and all our friends were vietnam era vets, I got out in 76 so I am considered vietnam era.  I qualified, but they rate based on income, so I was way way down the list (#8) and I felt, rightly so, that I was able to make a good living and there were others that need help much more than I did... but I don't know anyone on disability for hep c.  Now the needlestick, perfect example... I really wonder what the vietnam era vet infection rate is compared to the pop. as a whole... I know a lOT of them that brought it on home with them...

I don't know if this is helpful in any way, but my spouse is in the military and tricare pays for most of my treatment. I pay $12 month for interferon & riba.  The doc visits are free.  I don't know if you have tricare for life or not though.
