I am also facing the 3 drug treatment starting the end of January and am wondering what others experiences have been. One of my concerns is my job and how much time I may need to take off and how much will I be able to work. Any advice or words of wisdom?
Welcome to the VIC club! From what I have seen in the forum for months, it appears that the sides with VIC are somewhat more tolerable than those of INC. The lure of INC is the shorter treatment time, and there have been excellent results, but it's a rough ride. VIC is pretty heavy duty too, with one of the biggest sides being Anemia. The treatment time is longer and is based on each ones response at certain weeks.
How bad will it be? It varies from person to person, and each day is a bit different. There will be good days and not so good days, but we keep up the fight to kill the virus. For me, VIC for the most part, has magnified pre-existing conditions. So it has been a challenge definitely but not so horrible that I cannot function. But everybody's body responds differently. Frijole has a fantastic chart posted in her photos, that lists everyone's progress, on both drugs.
It wll be vic my doc told me , here in Canada, inc willonly be approved in June 2012
