Man talk about doing it the hard way wow!
Wishing you great results on your 12 week post test tomorrow!
Wishing you much success
You deserve freedom
My best
EOT 12 week blood tomorrow. Confident but a little nervous.
Getting close to the final act now.
So had my EOT 4 week blood test.
ALT 32 AST 40 Albumin 39 HB 157 WCC 3.4 RCC 4.91 Platelets 115 Neutrophils 1.4
Nurse confirmed that I had gone from F4 to F3, though I will wait and see what that result is 6 months from now.
While the numbers seem good, I am not sure how they sit in context within a wide range of results.
So far so good I guess.

I love this thread, we get to see how you are doing on a regular basis and can compare back to December, love this. Only 10 days to go. It is a hard tx, 48 weeks but so worth it in the end.
Bless you, Dee
Congratulations on getting to the finish line (very soon, anyway).
Keep us posted, especially when you attain SVR.
Wishing you SVR!
10 days to go till I have completed 48 weeks of treatment !!! ALT had returned to the normal range since start of treatment but in the last 3 months has dropped steadily and is now at 37. It has been a marathon effort. Nearly there at last.
Hey there! Thank you so much for updates. It is so great to hear how you are doing. Congratulations! Dee
Kudos to you for hanging in there! You've almost reached the destination!
I did that treatment for 24 weeks with Procrit and a Riba reduction. I never went UD and have always thought the riba reduction at 10 weeks played a role. I am now 1 week into 24 weeks of Harvoni and Riba after relapsing on Sovaldi/Ribavirin/Interferon.
Again, good job! You're a rockstar in my book! Can't wait to hear of your SVR!
Congragulations on holding steady. The end is in view and the pay-off is worth the ride.
.....Kim
Congratulations on nearing the end of treatment. Only 7 weeks to go.
I just read through your thread and you have an excellent chance to rid yourself of Hepatitis C. It really looks good.
Sticking with it and not reducing is what I would have done, too. In fact, it IS what I did, LOL. I treated 48 weeks in 2011-2012 and I ended up changing doctors to avoid reducing Ribavirin when my hemoglobin dropped. (My first GI wanted to reduce Riba instead of giving Procrit so I switched to a Hepa who gave Procrit instead of reducing Riba.)
Anyway, you have an excellent chance for AVR. Let us know when you attain SVR so we can congratulate you.
Hang in there Studio! You got this licked. Glad you didn't reduce and SVR is on it's way ;) Just keep on chugging.

Thats great news. Yes its an accomplishment to do that treatment. I journey in life. You can do this. Your almost there.
Great to hear!!
Keep on keeping on! The end is in sight --- and with it -- SVR!!!!
Blessings.
Pat
Now into week 41 and only 7 left to go after this. It has been a tough gig and I am feeling a little worse for wear at this end of treatment. Glad I didn't reduce my dose as I was instructed to,,, still taking the full hit :-) Nearly there and the Doc tells me that they would be extremely surprised if I don't achieve SVR.
Hey there, sounds like you are doing well. Congratulations for hanging in there.
Dee
Great answers people. Confidence boosted !!! So I will repeat my response to the text from the nurse today when she suggested dose reduction...
"Damn the torpedoes... full speed ahead"
"Anyhow... back to my numbers. What's the verdict?"
Myself those are some great numbers for someone on triple treatment. The only thing I see that is getting low is your ANC and at 0.4 even that isn't drastic.
First your not considered anemic until your HGB drops below 10 and yours is still above 11.
Your platelets is of no concern until they drop below 50 and yours is at 77.
I would bring these things up and ask them where is the problem and remind them your on treatment so these things are suppose to drop somewhat... Best to you.
Hi sorry to hear your test results are sliding
Al I have for you is b.d. (or sometimes b.i.d.) from latin bis in die or twice daily. Got that from wikipedia.
My best guess is they want you reduce Riba and take 2 pills twice daily for a total of 4 but I am not sure I guess if you want to know for sure ask your doctor or nurse
good luck
Lynn
Start of week 28. Blood test today. As I expected, the numbers are heading south.
Hb 115 was 121
WCC 1.3 was 2.2
Platelets 77 was 95
Neutrophils 0.4 was 0.9
Seems like a sudden and dramatic drop relative to the gradual change I have experienced thus far. My nurse said today that it is time to dose reduce on account of the results. I just laughed and said that it is not going to happen. Anyway, she booked me in for more blood work in 2 weeks time as opposed to my normal month. She commented that the lab would probably contact the gastro direct regarding the low numbers. So it will be the start of week 30 when I do the blood, and since the clinic will be away that week, it will be week 31 by the time anyone contacts me should the results cause concern. They may insist I adopt RGT... but that is something I would be likely to resist. Having said that though, if I continue to fade at the current rate I may not have an option.
Anyhow... back to my numbers. What's the verdict?
PS. Well that didn't take long. Just got a text from the clinic.Supposed to reduce Int to 110 and 2 bd of Rib. Don't know what 2bd signifies actually. Anyway, I am just going to ignore it at this stage.
Fantastic... Your becoming one of the last legends here. Most people anymore are so lucky with these newer meds out they couldn't even imagine doing 48 weeks with interferon. Hang in there.
Test results back today. Still undetected at week 24. Half way through treatment !!
Test results back today. Still undetected at week 10.
