Vitamin C

I use vitamin C and it helps me not become cold too often. Recently I heard that it may have bad impact on the liver because it increase the absorption of Iron. I use to take between 1000-3000 mg vitamin C in a day. Does anyone know if there are really any implications ?

This article from Life Extension you may find helpful in deciding what supplements to take. Some doctors suggest to discontinue the supplements until tx is finished, but upon reading this article and others my personal decision( and my PCP's opinion) was to continue with supplements and to also add some.

You will also read in this article the importance of reducing iron stores in order to rid the virus.

The article will address your question also.

Whenever I eat any iron rich foods I take extra calcium at the time of the meal to reduce absorption of iron. I believe this was the article I read this in.

Scroll through it and I think you will find some answers you may be looking for.

VERY VERY INFORMATIVE ARTICLE for those who are considering supplements.

gotta run, good luck!
