I know that on tx we are suppose to drink water and morer water.
Well my question is what if water won't stay down, even with meds to help? This seems to be one of my biggest problems.

THANKS FOR ANY HELP

Dear SnoBunny,
Try to get creative.. My partner makes frozen grape pops for me, and smoothies mixed with Green Tea and prune juice and fresh fruit.

Try V-8 juices and decaf teas.. Its all fluid...Makes things more fun too!

Good luck.. Call your Dr if you cannot get this solved.. K?

have you tried drinking small amounts- more often?  That what I do with my children when they have stomach trouble.

I was instructed my nurse to drink clear juices as well as water.  Grape and apple give me the trouts, but cranberry worked.  However, to cut the acid,I did dilute my juice 50% juice %50 water.  Juice is good to add to your daily intake because juice stays in your body longer and adds needed calories.  Try putting a lemom or lime in your water to snap up the taste.  Good luck!

Get thee some Ensure. Water on an empty, upset stomach just makes it worse. It will give you some energy and may settle your stomach. Take a vitamin every day that doesn't have iron in it. I  take One-a-Day Essentials. (But check with dr. for sure).
Ensureis the only thing that keeps me from loosing all my water cause I have to take a lot of other meds other than riba and Pagasys. If you are on Peg-Intron, you will end up in the hospital dehydrated and that hurts!
Get some and chill it in the freezer.

Best of luck

What about Gatorades or Powerades? Maybe some of the new Green teas or Snapples? They're not nearly as boring as plain old water and are really better for you too.

I was at DR. last week. He didn't seem too alarmed about this. More about cough, which isn't bad.

Sounds pretty serious, if you do this a lot you could end up in the hospital.  Best to call your Dr and get it checked out before that happens.  That's about the only advice I can think of!
