Great results keep an eye on your HGB though it's dropped considerably and on SOC you dont want them to reduce the riba, you'd be better off getting Procrit to get it back up.  In fact if you talked to your doctor now rather than if/when you go under 10 it would be a good idea so you can line up the insurance and approvals and stuff!

I was looking at your trial and it doesn't say if they will allow rescue drugs, I would call your trial nurse and see how they plan to deal with anemia should it get any worse as NY said that is a big drop in 1 wk

OOOPs I dont know why I thought it was SOC.  Brain fog lingers even after this many years.

Faith is on SOC for geno 2, she is in the active comparator arm of a 7977 trial

Obviously they are aware of the the hgb drop and what it means, but they see it all of the time. It is a huge drop, (looks rather dramatic on Sentinel's chart), but we've all seen worse. We discussed what the next steps might be "if this happens or that happens". After week one when my platelets dropped to 56 I was told we would probably reduce the interferon the following week when they came back under 50, and lo and behold, they went back up the next week, so no need to reduce. I don't think they were expecting to see them go back up. Hard to tell from one week to the next what may happen, it's a wait and see. Transfusions were talked about as one possibility if need be. I have faith that these people know what they are doing and I wouldn't presume to make suggestions, lol, I'm just lucky to be getting tx! So much is dependent upon other things in one's labs along with their weight, etc. I did not have the insurance to do this so I am just happy I got in the trial, at least my liver is getting a break from the inflammation. I was told not to worry, they were going to "get this"; there are options and new trials. This hospital has several trials going on at any given time and new ones always starting up. The tx nurse told me she mainly deals with Genotype 1 and they are not even in my trial so they have lots going on, lots of experience.

Thanks for the encouragement that the counts look good/promising; gotta take the good with the bad and I'm concentrating on the good! I appreciate your optimism!
It beats the heck out of finding out I'm not a responder, right? I guess none of us knows what we are in for when we start this journey; gotta be prepared for anything.

Things are looking real promising for you, glad to see that the platelets did not drop further. Wishing you the best on the HGB for next time, maybe things will stay stable and not drop further. With the drops in viral load I'm thinking you'll be undetected soon!!!!
