Wellbutrin liver damage

Im wondering since wellbutrin has a triple filtration (through the liver) process has anyone experienced side effects or damaging effects in regards to their liver? Is this a "safe" choice for someone with Hep c? I get pretty down and have extremely low energy and looking for help. Any suggestions?

After my liver transplant for hepatitis c my transplant team prescribed Wellbutrin for me and for most of the patients I knew. I doubt very much that Wellbutrin would have been prescribed if it was injurious to the liver. I think it's OK.

PROVIGIL is a prescription medicine used to improve wakefulness in adults who experience excessive sleepiness (ES) due to one of the following diagnosed sleep disorders:

Obstructive sleep apnea (OSA)
In patients with OSA, PROVIGIL is used only along with other medical treatments for this sleep disorder. PROVIGIL is not a replacement for your current treatment. Consult your doctor about the importance of continuing your current OSA treatment while taking PROVIGIL
Shift work sleep disorder (SWSD)
Narcolepsy

I was prescribed this medication by my Hepatologist for extreme interferon fatigue but did not take it after reading the side effects, particularly the nervousness and trouble sleeping.  Some members have reported good results, especially with renewed energy levels.

I don't think wellbutrin is going to help with your fatigue, but I've been taking the generic for Celexa and it has helped with keeping a good perspective on everything. Even when things are really bad I seem to keep a reasonable attitude. I haven't heard of anything that helps with the fatigue.
