WhaT is und?

I'm 8 million viral load. To be und in week 12. What does my number has to be so I'm und at week 12. Does it has to be 0 viral load? I'm Geno 1a.

To be UND at 12 weeks means the virus cannot be detected in your blood.
UND = undetected.

You need to do the most sensitive PCR testing possible.  In the 'olden days' back when I started treating the common test was down to <615. This means if my viral load was 614 it would say I was UND but I really wouldn't have been.  That is why it's important to get the most sensitive test you can - so you are SURE.  If I had thought I was UND but I was not at week 12 I might not have extended to week 72 (my VL came back 411 at week 4 and 419 at week 12...) so I might not have achieved SVR and been cured.

Since week 12 is so important I'd ask that the minimum test you get is down to 50 but testing does now go all the way down to "2".  If you are UND at 2 - the chance is pretty good that you are truly UND.
