What diseases can be contracted thru blood?

My friend who has Herpes (both types) and possibly several other diseases, had a alcoholic-related seizure yesterday when I was with her. She had her glasses caught in her mouth, one lens on the ground. After calling 911, fearing she had the other lens loose in her mouth and might choke on it, I pried her mouth open, stuck my finger in to find it, and she bit down HARD, causing my finger to bleed and get mixed with the blood spilling from her mouth. :( Went to the Dr office, cleaned it, didn't want to put stitches in cuz they said the risk of infection was higher. Told them she has Herpes and god knows what else (she sleeps around/no protection ) Tested me for herpes, hiv, hep c, again in 6 weeks, then in 6 months. Should I ask them to test for anything else?

The same thing happened to me last Thursday.....it was my friends friend that was having a seizure and I was afraid he bit his tongue cause there was blood everywhere and when I tried to check him he bit down on my finger...I am in the same boat with you and waiting to get tested.  You might want to ask your friend to test for HIV and Hep C as well but obviously we cant force anyone to get tested but at least if she does not have HIV or HEP C, it will put your mind at ease.  As for HIV, I have read on both the community and doctors forum, it is unlikely to be transferred this way.

So sorry you had to go thru that.
If I were in your shoes I would likely do the same tests you mentioned.
Not many others that I would be concerned about so think you have your bases covered.
Now the hard part~Waiting.
Hope all turns out well
