What do I do?

How do i get assistance in Houston Texas if i have Hepatitis C and no money , no job ,no insurance What so I do I have been tested and had a biopsy but I lost my insurance before I could go any farther. Thank You Pearl Whitlock

It also looks like UT and Baylor have teaching hospitals there so you should check with them to see if they have any programs that might be able to help you out. Also the pharma companies will give you the meds for free if you qualify but there is still the cost of docs and labs, check with the teaching hospitals to see if they have any programs that might help in this regard, here are their contact numbers for the pharma co's

I've heard the local health department can out you in touch w trials n drs too. One girl on the forum got on that way and is finished UND! You can find help but it will take some phone calls. Don't give up. Karen :)

I don't know anything about Texas.
My suggestion would be to call local hospitals, Universities with medical facilities and ask first if they do treatment for hep C.
Then ask if they have any kind of assistance, or charity care program.

There are free programs for meds from the pharmaceutical companies but that won't cover the costs of your doctor and labs.

You could also consider doing a clinical trial. All expenses would be covered in that case.
