hi i just check up my anti-HCV tests (no risk factor no blood transmission )
first HCV AB ELISA 3 RD GEN : weak positive
i got another lab used Rapid Test result : negative
i go to hospital and get all hepatitis viral markers and the result is
HCV AB negative
with all my test i have mild influenza but i don't think it make any different isn't it ?
why my first test is weak positive ?
As long as you dont/didnt have any exposure to HCV infected blood, Id say your golden...but if its going to be in the back of your mind...I guess it wouldn't hurt to get retested...but It would just be for peace of mind.
About the influenza thing...Ive never heard of that being a reason for false positive tests.
