What does Reba Really do?

I keep looking for a good explination of what the reba does but not much luck that I can understand.  Does anyone have a good Explination?  Does it bind to the inf or attack the virus?  Just wanting to understand this medicine a little better.  I will stop with the reba questions after this one.  Seems to be becoming a trean with my posts.  HAHA

I have read lots on this subject and what I come up with is, they don't really know why it works. Lots of ideas about why but it is still a mystery.

My paper work says it is a wide spectrum anti-viral..and (although I don't know how) it works with the interferon to keep it in you system longer, by extending the half life. So maybe it binds to the interferon?

Maybe we can't get bird flu while on it...

Thanks for the input and yes I feel much better.  Felt great this morning and a little fluish this afternoon but not bad at all.  I guess the answers I have gotten are the same reason I couldn't find much myself that made any sense.  I just don't want Brian fog doesn't start paying unwanted visits.  LOL

I have also realized that my pain meds were bring the fever back on.  I know I used to warm up when I took them but never really thought about it until today when I was fine after the riba and later in the day took my methadone(for my back) and the fever returned.  It is not so bad that I am going to ask for a change just yet.  I am hoping it will improve with time.

I think Rev got that info from MKAndrew.com. It is a great site, you might want to check it out. Very informative and etertaining site.
There are a lot of theories as to why/how Ribivirin works but there is no definitive answer that all doctors/researchers agree on, a  lot of theorizing tho. I think Mile's definition is as good as any other theory out there. They do not know why it works exactly, only that it does work.
