What happens to liver your liver after treatment?

by Bridget Dressel, Aug 13, 2000 12:00AM
Hello,

I have been on a peg study for about (2) months now.  I am suffering from severe depression.  They have increased my anti-depressant.  Hopefully soon I will start feeling better.  Although, my AST & ALT have improved tremedously just within (2)months.

My real question is if after (48) weeks of treatment, will the hepatitis come back more quickly since I have been treated with Interferon, opposed to someone who has never been treated. I would like to take about about six months off after treatment.  I want to have another baby.  I am now approaching (40) years old.  What is your opinion and what I should do?  I have been having hepatitis C since 1986, and have not drank any alcohol in the past 8 years.  I am in the fibrosis stage of the disease.

Thank you!!!
