So, if you treated and then went back for a viral load test 6 months after treatment ended, you are SVR already.
Yes and really a week or two later makes no difference whatsoever - you've already made it so I'm not sure why your doctor isn't celebrating with you instead of confusing you!
CONGRATULATIONS ON YOUR SVR!

Good luck, I was 3a and started 24 weeks treatment a year ago and just found out recently that I am SVR and clear from the virus. Good luck and take all the advice given to take care of the sides. Mar

CO: 6 months is the same as 24 weeks.

For all practical purposes, it's the same. In fact, if you're UND at week 12, you should be 100% certain of SVR unless you are stage 4 and then it's around 90%. So, those two weeks will not make a difference.
"6 months is the same as 24 weeks." Just 2 weeks more. In the scheme of things HCV wise its the same. If you are UND at 24 weeks you will be at 26 weeks. I will test at 1 year and then 2 years, then that will be it.

I belive if you UND at 12 week and have no cirrhosis you cured, but I would still do a pcr after two years because that was the old formula just to be sure.
So if I were you i would do that and in the mean time forget all about it and consider my self cured to 99.99999999 %
