When to stop pills after last shot

m50
I have conflicting info about when I should stop taking my pills after my last shot.My Dr.told me I could stop them the day of my last shot or take them 3-4 days after the last shot then the nurse said I should take the pills as I have been and stop them the day I would have gotten the next shot. So its almost like they left it up to me but is there a norm to how long after the last shot? So confused? Of course I dont want to be on them any longer than I have to but being its been a long long year I dont want to mess up my treatment.

your nurse is the closest to correct. take your ribavirin until the end of the day before your normal injection day. if you inject friday, take them through the following thursday,

Good luck and I hope you SVR

Technically, it's probably not going to make any difference, since at this point, your levels of ribavirin are at a steady state because you've been taking it for so long. After a couple months of the stuff, even a missed dose once in a while is no big deal at all.

However, in the interest of being nice, neat, and orderly, I would concur with the others. Shot, 7 days of pills, finished.

Good luck on ya.

The nurse is right.  Do last injection, then do pills for 7 more days.
The last week is the same as the first week.  Shot, followed by one week of pills.
Have fun.  Jamfer

I agree with Dave; however, I had moved my shot day so mine was a little different. Because I started treatment on Friday, my last day of pills was Thursday after my last shot.

Good luck and we will be waiting for your post results.
Happy recovery!
