White Blood Cell Count

by Emmasmudge, Jun 07, 2000 12:00AM
I have been on Combination Therapy for Hep. C for 7 weeks.  Over all I am doing very well on this medication.  My last two lab tests indicated a drop in my white blood cells.  This is normal from what I understand.  My last count was 3.1.  I'm wondering if this count can go back up on its own (without drug reduction), or will it plain out over a period of time and remain at that level throughout the treatment.  I'm on this medication for one year.  My Doctor also indicated that I should be very careful around anyone who is sick.  So far I have been off from work while on this medication and I'm wondering how safe it would be to return to work.  I work in a factory environment.  Thank you very much for your wonderful service.
