Worried about insurance problem

I am trying to buy a business and have come across an insurance problem and wonder if anyone can offer insight or refer me to a company that they work with. It seems because of the type of business I want to buy, which includes goodwill, I am required to have a life insurance term policy for the life of the loan. I am somewhat afraid to call my insurance company that carries my current policy and inform them I have HCV so I can find out if I can get it with them. I've read here people can't get life insurance. Has anyone been able to get if after dx or tx. The business will be in my name only so it I don't want to have my husband involved. I will have my 6 month labs soon but I've heard insurance won't take you for 5 years.  This is driving me nuts and is the only obstacle I now have. I have not informed the bank of my problem yet as I am hoping to find a way to get insurance. Any nsight would be very welcome. LL

I found out that I had HCV by trying to purchase life insurance. They would not insure me of course, but made the statement that I should come back 1 year after treatment.

Most banks have credit life w/ thier loans that are available. It costs a little extra per month. My husband has it so that if anything happened to him, both my house and car will be paid for. Joni

Does he have or did he have HCV when he got it? LL

Sorry I didn't get back to you sooner, but he doesn't have Hep. However, they asked no health questionss at all. They just asked if he wanted credit life, he said yes and they wrote it into the note. Joni
