advanced liver disease normal bloodwork

my situation is im a young male who inago used to abuse alot of alcohol and pot who developed systemic candida and have been so ill for 6 years now all the same symptoms from the toxins from the candida and liver malfunction. i know i have cirrhosis and severe liver disease but besides what i read about on the net about cirrhosis alot of the symptoms i dont have and i cant tell how bad my liver is cause albumin protime and enzymes are normal yet i have hemmerhoids, rectal bleeding, staetorrhea, severe mental impairment, fever and profuse sweating after meals as well as fatigue and sever itching after eating, intermittent jaundice, fever and agitation is severe after eating protein. anyways there are so many more symptoms than this all of advanced cirrhosis but sincei got the yeast making me toxic and destroying my liver i cant tell how bad my liver really is cause albumin, protime and enzymes are normal also on ultrasound there is focal nodular hyperplasia which is scar tissue from inflammation and there is a new area of increased echogenicity. so my question is how can all my bloodwork be normal yet i have such advanced liver disease? enzymes have been up many times but never recently even when my palms are yellow bilirubin and enzymes are normal. also how do ppl cope in esld with itching? i would really like to talk to somone who is in this stage

well revenire i think exactly the same as u do i dont have a liver left to raise the enzymes but if that was the case should my albumin and protime be abnormal? or my bilirubin? also i read about ppl on the net who r in the hospital with liver failure and their enzymes are high so how could that be if when ur liver is gone ur enzymes are normal? although all my symptoms get sever when eating profuse sweating, icthing, anxiety attack and sometimes even jaundice after eating. doesnt anyone have symptoms similiar to these? i cant seem to even find anyone who has these symptoms with cirrhosis.

there in my case is the huge problem of the medical profession on north america is taught only ppl with hiv or immunosuppression can get systemic candida which if u look around on the net is a pile of **** also they dont have tests to diagnose candida. they have a blood culture which is like 15% accuracy in ppl even with hiv. so thats why i have had no help through all of this, there are doctors in north america that know of yeast overgrowth but they still have little knowledge of it.

I'd go find a doctor that has a clue, myself. My understanding is that tx improves cirrhosis. You sound like you REALLY need some good advice. I wish I could help you more. Do learn as much as you can, but find a doctor. Where are you? Can anybody recommend a doctor?

thats the whole problem i live in thunder bay canada and im on a disability so health care is free up here but in this city there is 115 000 ppl and 40 000 have no doctor thre is also like 3 gastro interologists and no hepatologists. the gi guys wont even see me let alone give me a biopsy they dont know anything. my enzymes and bloodwork are normal so they think its not urgent. im moving to toronto in a week but the health care is so bad up here in canada cause its free itll probably take a month or longer down there to see a doctor and im this far into it. from all my research and knowledge i would say im like esld sometimes i ever think im at failure but bloodwork and the fact im not yellow permanently tells me im not yet however im pretty damn close. situation really sux

well i live in  a small town and none of the doctors here know anything about liver disease barely. i know way more than they do and there is one gi guy who wont give me a biopsy. i been pushing for one since last fall when i found out i had candida and not cancer of the liver which i thought i had. the doctors here are a joke. i know u guys arent doctors but u guys know firsthand about liver disease. i know i have cirrhosis cause well its kinda hard when u been living with severe toxicity for 5 years and almost went into comas etc. too many symptoms and the depression is really severe pardon me if im not the easiest to understand or too blunt. i thought it was cancer cause a mass showed up on ultrasond when my liver first started getting bad 5 years ago. i been through hell and found out it was candida that was making me toxic and not cancer cause they did biopsy the lump years ago. but my liver has never stopped hurting for 6 years and neither have the symptoms gone away from the candida but where severely acute when it first got inflammed. sorry i babble...im just so far into this my liver hurts and i itch severly after meals and get really bad fatigue. im also holding a minimal amount of water in my belly which they cant see on ultrasound. u guys prolly wont like me on the forum cause i have given up, its the toxins from the candida and the severity of my disease that i cant reverse which give me no hope. none the less i still have never had anyone to relate to this whole time cause everyone i know is healthy. i jaundice off and on depending on what i eat and im always soaked in sweat have a bad liver really lets the candida thrive cause the lack of bile allows the yeast to  keep flourishing. i dunno if hep c has the same effect. the doctors here tell me since all bloodwork is normal i dont have much of a liver problem, i just dont get their tests they say they have cirrhosis patients who all have abnormal enzymes.

None of us are doctors here, just patients somewhat knowledgable about dealing with Hepatitis C.  And no offense intended, but I think even TV's Dr. House would have a hard time diagnosing your symptons without a complete work up.

You say your blood work is normal but you think you have advanced liver disease? Are you basing the fact that you have cirrhosis on a liver biopsy or something else? To my knowledge, only a liver biopsy can tell you if you have cirrhosis.

You really have to see a liver specialist if you haven't already. Good luck!
