I have had a test and it showing my alt as 126 is this high ???

Yes Lisa.  I googled "normal alt"

ALT (also called alanine aminotransferase or SGPT) is found in the liver only. High levels of ALT in the bloodstream mean that there may be liver inflammation and/or damage. This test cannot predict liver damage or disease progression. It is simply a direct measurement of the amount of ALT in the person's bloodstream at the time of the test. The normal range of ALT levels is between 5 IU/L to 60 IU/L (International Units per Liter). ALT levels in people with HCV often rise and fall over time, so additional testing such as HCV RNA, HCV genotyping and a liver biopsy may be needed to help determine the cause and extent of liver damage

thanks hun i have hep c and have had a RNA i get the results on thursday so i will find out what genotype i have and will post this really nervous

Just try to breathe easy Lisa.  Of course you're really nervous.  We all were.  You won't believe me now but it gets lots easier.  There are so many kind and helpful people on this board that will hold your hand all the way through.  Post soon as you can or have more information or questions.  You're alt is only a tiny bit higher than what mine was when I started.  Five months after treatment is was about 30.  Try not to worry.
