amenic question

I am trying to prepare myself for tx, a couple of days ago Melinda's survival list talked about B complex, I found a sublingual b that I just started taking, It's B Total Sublingual liquid. I am not just imagining it, it really gave me quite a boost today. I was wondering what test on the CBC is the one to watch to indicate you are getting anemic?
I am trying to boost myself for the next month before I start tx. Then continue through. I am hoping I can at least try to fight that off. So much to worry about, I know I should try to worry as little as possible, easier said than done.
Any info on the lab test that indicates anemia I would appreciate. Bree

Be sure to go over all vitamins and supplements with your MD prior to tx.  Even something as benign as fiber supplements can be advised against.

OK, thanks, well then, I guess I'll just take the B complex just because, and if and when the other anemia shows up, I deal with it then. Maybe I'll be lucky.

There are many different types of anemia; B-12 is more related to pernicious anemia, I believe.

The anemia associated with HCV therapy is ‘hemolytic’ anemia, and isn’t responsive to vitamins. The drug ribavirin causes premature red cell destruction; often faster than it can be replaced by bone marrow. When this occurs, Procrit (epo, epogen. Epoetin alpha) can be introduced, or dose reduction of ribavirin is initiated. The former is generally preferred, as it keeps the patient on full dose riba, and offers a better chance of successful HCV therapy outcome.
